So I just got rejected from a LJ sketch community for the third time. I'm not upset, just disappointed in myself and my art. As far as I'm concerned, this is the third strike. I'm done with trying to please them and I'm going to do some self reflection about myself and my art.

I've let my art become too much about pleasing the general canine artist/anthro art crowd. Yes, I love drawing dogs and always will, but I need to find my own path in this kind of art and experiment with other subjects or mediums.

As such, I will be taking a break from dA and LJ for a bit. Dunno for how long, but I have art homework to catch up on so I'll concentrate on that and see what happens.

No, I'm not doing this to get attention. I'm doing this for my well-being and to help me develop as an artist without dA influence.
